Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra today presided over the official inauguration of the Board of Investment’s (BOI) Thailand Investment and Expat Services Center (TIESC), which consolidates services previously offered at the One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS) and the One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit.
Together the BOI, Immigration Bureau, and Department of Employment under one roof to facilitate access to investment consultation, government liaison, long-term investment support, and provide seamless visa and work permit support for targeted investors, skilled professionals and expatriates working in the country.
Located in a prime area, on the 6th and 7th floors of One Bangkok’s PARADE Zone in the capital’s central business district, TIESC, which started offering services from 17 March 2025, presents significantly larger as well as more modern facilities and streamlined services.
New facilities include the dedicated LTR and Smart Visa Lounge, offering premium application services and aftercare support for applicants and holders of the Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa and Smart Visa which target Highly-Skilled Professionals, Work-from-Thailand Professionals, Wealthy Global Citizens, Wealthy Pensioners and startup entrepreneurs.
The LTR program’s requirements and conditions were recently adjusted to facilitate access to a wider range of professionals and investors in a move aimed to boost the country’s foreign talent pool and increase competitiveness.
The efficient services at TIESC are made possible due to the integration of electronic systems through the Single Window for Visa and Work Permit, which allows users to submit and track applications online via a unified platform, eliminating the need for separate submissions to different agencies. This inter-agency connectivity streamlines procedures, reduces redundancy, and increases the speed and transparency of government services.
The opening of TIESC comes as applications to the LTR Visa can now be filed via the Digital Platform of VFS Global, a world leader in international visa services with operations covering over 160 countries around the world. This Digital Platform will soon also be available for BOI-promoted companies to utilize in the near future.
“TIESC represents a major step in our continuous efforts to improve the ease of doing business in Thailand and better meet investors’ needs”, said Narit Therdsteerasukdi, secretary general of the BOI. “From consulting investors on incentives to providing streamlined visa and work permit services, this center offers a truly integrated and efficient experience, helping Thailand attract more global talent and become a regional innovation and investment hub.”
Services available at TIESC include the BOI’s OSOS on the 7th floor, offering consultation to investors on Thailand’s investment incentives, regulations, laws, and procedures, as well as coordination with government and private agencies to facilitate business operations for existing as well as new investors. Also located on the same floor, the Expatriate Services Division offers end-to-end support for foreign professionals—providing information, guidance, and processing services for BOI Visa, LTR and Smart Visas.
Located on the 6th floor, One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit at TIESC houses a branch of the Immigration Bureau, which processes various applications for eligible users, such as visa extensions, status changes, residence permits and 90-day stay reporting, while the Department of Employment handles applications for work permits and employment notifications for foreign nationals working for BOI-promoted companies and other eligible groups.
TIESC is located at One Bangkok, PARADE Zone, 6th and 7th Floor, 1877 Rama IV Road, Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330 (Telephone: +66 (0) 2209 1100), and is easily accessible by car or taxi, or via the city’s mass transit systems. The TIESC is conveniently located close to the underground MRT Lumphini station, Exit 1, and also reachable from BTS Ploen Chit station, Exit 2, where the One Bangkok EV Shuttle Service Bus is available.
