MR. D.I.Y. (Thailand), a leading home improvement and lifestyle retailer, is spending 2 billion baht to open 200 new stores in Thailand this year.

Andy Chin, CEO of MR. D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) Plc, the company is committed to easing financial pressures on Thai households for home improvement products via various strategies this year.

It plans to open 200 new MR. D.I.Y. stores nationwide in 2025, bringing total to reach 1,132 stores. Of the total, 90% are standalone and the remainder mall-based stores. Backed by a 2 billion baht investment, this expansion ensures that more Thai consumers, regardless of location, can access affordable home improvement products and everyday essentials. MR. D.I.Y. stores is now available all 77 provinces after opening in Pang-nga on March 28.

“It has more than three times from Malaysia to expand Mr. D.I.Y. stores in Thailand. Malaysia has 1,400 Mr. D.I.Y. stores despite having a population 50% less than Thailand. Each Mr. D.I.Y. store in Malaysia serves an average of 25,000 customers, while Thailand still serves an average of 77,000 customers per store,” said Mr. Andy.

In 2024, MR. D.I.Y. operated 932 stores nationwide, 69% of them are standalone and 31% is mall-based store. Of the total 932 stores, 299 is in Central region, 198 in Northeast, each 110 in Bangkok and East region and the remaining is in the west, north and south.

“At MR. D.I.Y., we remain committed to helping Thai families manage rising living costs by offering quality products at affordable prices. Our mission is to make everyday essentials more accessible, ensuring that every one of our customers can save more and live better,” Mr Chin said.

In addition to store expansion, MR. D.I.Y. also maximizes savings for Thai consumers with approximately 16,000 products across six essential categories, offering with affordable price.

It also plans to launch over 50 targeted promotions and campaigns this year. This initiative allows every household to enjoy greater savings and benefit from MR. D.I.Y.’s value-driven offerings.

With all strategies, MR. D.I.Y. expects a double-digit increase in revenue this year from last year’s revenue of 16 billion baht.
