WeTV strengthens its position as the leading video streaming platform by launching CHUANG Asia Season 2, starting airing on February 2, 2025.

Jeff Han, vice president of Tencent Video and director of WeTV, said that WeTV strengthens its position as the leading video streaming platform by launching CHUANG Asia Season 2, a mega-project international idol survival show designed to discover talented trainees from around the world and turn them into global artists.

CHUANG Asia Season 2 will air every Sunday at 16.50 hrs., starting February 2, 2025. All fans can watch the TV version on Channel 3 HD and the full version via the WeTV app https://bit.ly/CHUANGAsiaS2

CHUANG Asia Season 2 will feature five top artists from various sectors of the entertainment industry as producers and mentors: Xu Minghao (THE 8), BamBam, Jeff Satur, Tia Ray, and Yaya Urassaya.

The show partners with major sponsors, including market-leading ready-to-drink herbal tea brand, YenYen as the official title sponsor, along with ICONSIAM, W District, and Channel 3 Thailand.

Together, they will help the show find the best trainees who will debut as an international boy group and take Thailand’s entertainment industry to new heights in the international scene.

"WeTV continues to push forward in the video streaming market with two main strategies: original content and creating shared experiences,” Mr Han said.

CHUANG Asia was one of WeTV ‘s flagship content projects last year, achieving remarkable success across Asia with over 2.5 billion views. The final-round voting through the WeTV app saw over 500 million votes cast for the top 9 trainees.



WeTV partners with YenYen as the official title sponsor. Beyond being a flagship show that drives awareness and expands the user base for the WeTV platform, CHUANG Asia Season 2 also provides opportunities for producers to collaborate with various companies and organizations to expand the market. The show will create new activities for its target audiences and develop content that resonates with viewers in both music and entertainment.

This core concept continues with CHUANG Asia Season 2, which emphasizes on giving contestants from different countries the chance to share their talents and learn from one another in a challenging and diverse environment. Viewers will be able to support and encourage contestants as they discover and express their identities through competition stages and receive guidance from a team of highly experienced international artists as the producers and mentors.

The team, including Xu Minghao (THE 8), BamBam, Jeff Satur, Tia Ray, and Yaya Urassaya, will help the trainees develop their skills in singing, rapping, dancing, and acting. They will be key in creating a vibrant show that attracts both domestic and international audiences.
