Chinese tourists top the list of registered rare items in the project “WOW! Thailand” that TAT implemented under the campaign “WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges” during November 1 to Dec - 10 2024.
Chinese visitors top the list to participate in “WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges”
Thapanee Kiatphaibool governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand ( TAT) said that TAT has stimulated tourism in foreign markets with the campaign “ WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges” under the project “Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges” with offering discounts, special privileges for tourism products, services and souvenirs with Thai charm for visitors traveling to Thailand during November 1 to this December 10, 2024 and registration to join the project.
This project has received a positive response from the visitors who have participated in the project, posting it on social media until it became viral online, especially among Chinese visitors.
“The campaign “WOW Thailand” is giving souvenirs to the visitors inspired by “Five Must Do” concept in Thailand that tells the identity of Thailand including- Must Try, Must Buy, Must Taste, Must See and Must Seek. “Wow Thailand” has attracted the attention of many tourists, especially Chinese who are looking for and love collecting souvenirs which are rare items.

“These are rare items. The visitors just travel to Thailand and register on the campaign's website to experience the unique charm of Thailand by receiving special gifts, the rare items that everyone wants to have, under the "Five Must Do in Thailand" concept. Travel to Thailand and own a rare gift from WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges. Available only at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang Airport, and Phuket Airport,” Ms Thapanee said.
Rare items are such as boxing glove keychain 2D fabric material product of OTOP from Sattahip district Chonburi province, and shoulder bag made from local fabric, which are community products from Nakhon Sawan, Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Kalasin and Chiang Mai.
