Dusit International, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, is advancing its opportunities in the health service market by signing a cooperation agreement with three renowned Bangkok-based health and wellness specialists.

They are Inspire IVF Plc, Professional Laboratory Management Corp Plc (Prolab), and Zeniq Holistic Clinic. Its cooperation agreement is aimed at developing an integrated health and wellness offering in Thailand.

Moreover, the collaboration aims to leverage each party’s expertise and resources to create seamless medical services that cover diagnosis, consultation, and treatment for clients seeking holistic preventive health care and fertility treatments, combined with high-quality accommodation and nutrition services.

Zeniq will oversee anti-ageing and rehabilitation, Inspire IVF will provide in vitro fertilisation laboratory services, including egg banking, while Prolab will supply necessary laboratory services and medical testing with the latest diagnostic technology. Dusit International will offer accommodation services and meals designed by chefs in collaboration with nutritionists for clients with specific needs.

“We are delighted to work with experts in anti-ageing medicine and comprehensive health services, marking a great opportunity to expand our wellness services beyond general tourism,” said Suphajee Suthumpun, Group CEO, Dusit International. “We are confident that Thailand will become a key destination for travellers in this fast-growing sector.”

According to the Global Wellness Institute, the global health tourism economy was valued at US$5.6 trillion in 2022 and is projected to grow to $8.5 trillion by 2030.

In 2024, Thailand ranks 24th in the world in terms of wellness economy potential, with the wellness market in Thailand valued at approximately $35 billion (approximately 1.18 trillion baht), accounting for 8.5% of GDP. Thailand’s strengths in this sector include high-quality medical services, traditional Thai wellness practices, and robust tourism infrastructure.

Dusit entered the integrated wellness market earlier this year by partnering with King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, under the Thai Red Cross Society, to provide luxury accommodation and tailored nutrition services for patients undergoing routine screenings.

This new collaboration with private-sector organisations further highlights the potential to enhance Thailand’s tourism value in both niche and mainstream wellness markets, supporting the country’s growth in the expanding health tourism sector.

“Together with our strategic partners, we aim to set new standards for integrated health, wellness, and hospitality services in Thailand. Our commitment to high-quality care, safety, and personalised service will give medical tourists the holistic support they need, creating a seamless experience that blends medical expertise with exceptional hospitality,” Ms Suphajee said.
