SET-listed Mc Group Plc, one of the country's leading fashion and lifestyle companies, is expanding its business performance by spending more than 100 million baht in investment and hiring celebrities to become new presenters.
Chalisa “Amanda“ Obdam, Miss Universe Thailand 2020, and Ananda Everingham, a film actor, become new presenters for the brand, hoping to attract new customers in new generation groups.
James Richard Amatavivat, the company’s chief executive officer, said that the company plans to allocate 100 million baht for its investment in its fiscal year 2025, which ends on June 30, 2025. The budget will be used to open 10 new Mc shops, renovate its 80 existing shops, and upgrade its IT system.
2025 will be more dynamic with significant growth via four pillars as sources of growth and profitability. They include expanding the product category by maintaining steady growth on denim products and capturing fast-growing opportunities on non-denim products. It will remain to expand both brick-and-mortar stores in potential locations and invest wisely in e-commerce channels.
Moreover, Mc is elevating experience by utilizing customer data to improve satisfaction and enhance service level with multi-channel experience. More importantly, the company will reduce dependency on discount campaigns and, at the same time, will improve sales channel productivity.
Revenue of MC in fiscal year 2024 was 4.05 billion baht, up 10.5% from the previous fiscal year. Its net profit grew by 10.8%, or 70 million baht, to 713 million baht. Of the total revenue, 49% stemmed from non-denim, up from 45% in the previous fiscal year, denim revenue was 35%, and the remaining was from accessories.
Currently, Mc products are sold in 294 Mc shops, 131 consignments, 142 outlets, and 6 mobile units.
MC has 1.7 million members at present, with half of its sales coming from its members, and expects its number will increase 70%. In terms of spending, average spending per person is at 2,800 baht, with the purchase of 3 pieces per person per time. In addition, 12–13% of sales come from the online channel, and it expects the online channel will rise to 15% in the next fiscal year and reach 20% in the near future. At present, 60% of Mc customers are men and 40% are women.
