Napol Sirimongkolkasem, head of brand of Swensen’s Thai, said that the company has opened its latest Swensen’s regional store at Tontann market in Khon Kaen since September 3, 2024 . It is the country's 345th branch and the seventh regional flagship branch, operated by a franchisee.

Swensen’s Tontann Market branch, costing about 20 million baht, has a space of 278 square metres with 116 seats. The store was designed with a local cultural mix and an ideal concept of Lomkhao and Koopkwien, a distinctive culture in the northeast region. The seat is designed to be a dessert destination for families and friends with their gangs.

The first Swensen’s regional flagship store was opened at Phuket Town’ at the end of 2018 with a white shop designed based on Phuket’s famous Sino-Portuguese houses, followed by Nan, Yala, Pitsanulok, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Had Yai respectively.

Each provides customers with unique experience from store design and a concept with adding local menu provided for the first three months of its opening.

Swensen’s plans to open about 10 Swensen’s regional stores across Thailand and the Swensen’s at Tontann market is the seventh branch of its expansion plan.

Swensen’s is one of strategic brands that generates substantial sales to Minor food business along with The Pizza Company and Dairy Queen.

In the first eight months of this year, sales of Swensen’s grew by 5-10% and is expected to maintain this momentum throughout the year.

Currently, there are 345 Swensen’s branches across the country. Of the total, 60% is under franchise basis and the remaining 40% is under its own investment. In addition, the company plans to open 10-15 new stores each year at shopping complexes, hypermarket and community malls.
