He added the company aims to increase productivity, generate higher profits, and support farmers in practicing safe farming, using quality seeds, and applying chemicals correctly. The company hope its business will help drive the local economy and develop the potential of Thai farmers, enabling them to produce quality, safe, and nutritious food that meets global consumer demand.”

Ambassador of Switzerland to Thailand, Pedro Zwahlen said “Switzerland and Thailand have enjoyed a strong relationship since the times of King Rama V. We are delighted that Syngenta has chosen Thailand to establish its Asia office here. Syngenta Group, headquartered in Switzerland, is one of the world's largest agricultural technology companies. The business based in Thailand manages numerous operations, including crop protection substances, vegetable seeds, and corn seeds for animal feed, making it a leading entity in Asia, including Thailand.

“The Thai government has consistently promoted the agricultural sector. We trust that the Thai government will continue to support and prioritize the agricultural sector, introducing measures to ensure that it remains a competitive leader in agricultural products. By leveraging agricultural innovations and technologies, Syngenta, as a leader in modern agricultural solutions, can help increase productivity and income for farmers, promoting the development of a stable and sustainable agricultural industry in Thailand,” added Mr Paul.
