Saha Group, the country’s leading consumer product conglomerate manufacturer, has partnered with Tokyu Corporation from Japan to enter the property management business in Thailand.

In an initial step, Saha Tokyu Property Management Co was set up to manage Kingsquare Community Mall and KingBridge Tower and will expand into other projects in the future.

Suthida Jongjenkit, president of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Plc, said that Saha Tokyu Property Management was established through a joint venture between Saha Group and Tokyu Development (Thailand) Co, with a share ratio of 51% to 49%. The company will operate property management businesses in Thailand to provide the quality services and efficient property management to ensure customer satisfaction. The responsibilities include building maintenance, space management, rental management within buildings, and marketing to add value to the projects.

"This collaboration combines Saha Group's understanding of customer and user needs in Thailand with Tokyu Development (Thailand)'s expertise in property management. We are confident that the company will be able to offer quality services that meet customer needs," Ms. Suthida said.

Hirohisa Fujiwara, director and senior managing executive officer of Tokyu Corporation, said that Thailand has significant growth potential in the real estate sector, with continuous project developments and a demand for quality property management services. Saha Group is a major developer of numerous real estate projects in Thailand and requires a partner with expertise in property management to ensure efficient project development. Previously, Saha Group and Tokyu Corporation collaborated on a real estate project for Japanese residents in Si Racha, Chonburi.

On the other hand, Saha Group has pledged its support to the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital in developing a comprehensive residential and care facility for the elderly, promoting academic and technological collaboration, knowledge exchange, and providing expert consultation. Its goal is to establish a prototype for comprehensive elderly care, serving as a learning and research center for medical personnel and volunteers.

Vichai Kulsomphop, chief executive officer and chairman of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding, said that Thailand has entered a full-fledged aging society, with the number of elderly people aged 60 and over exceeding 12 million. Recognizing this demographic shift, Saha Group has leveraged its capabilities to develop innovative products in the health care and wellness sectors. This includes supporting the Senior Complex Project by the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.

Clinical professor Arthit KO Ungkanon, M.D., dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, said that the Treasury Department has allocated state land in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, for the Senior Complex Project. These comprehensive elderly care facility will include: The Ramathibodi Elderly Care and Hospice (ECH), which is a hub for learning, research, innovation development, and training for doctors, nurses, medical personnel, and the general public. It will also provide health services to the elderly.

Moreover, it will include The Ramathibodi-Treasury Department Senior Housing Project, which is modern condominium-style residence for seniors and The Ramathibodi Nursing Home for dependent elderly people with complex diseases who are partial or total dependence.

"We will harness the medical expertise of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and the capabilities of Saha Group, renowned for enhancing the quality of life for Thai people through high-quality healthcare products, to help make our Senior Complex into a more comprehensive and well-equipped elderly care facility,” clinical professor Arthit said.
