The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is expanding its financial literacy initiatives to reach freelancers and multi-jobbers with the launch of its new campaign, "Happy Money, Happy Jobbers: Freedom Life, Thriving and High-Paying Job," campaign.

The initiative is specifically designed to cater to the dynamic needs of today's independent workers, equipping freelancers and multi-jobbers with the financial literacy knowledge they need to effectively navigate income uncertainty and limited welfare benefits.

The goal is to create financial stability and sustainable wealth, aligning with SET's strategic plan and vision as it enters its 50th year, working towards creating opportunities for everyone. The campaign aims to engage 3,000 participants this year.

SET senior executive vice president Soraphol Tulayasathien said that freelancing and multi-jobbing are setting trends in Thailand. However, these occupations come with financial challenges, particularly income uncertainty and limited welfare benefits.

SET recognizes the importance of promoting financial literacy as a skill that creates stability for all target groups. The latest campaign, "Happy Money, Happy Jobbers," aims to provide young freelancers and multi-jobbers with fundamental knowledge of financial planning, insurance planning, and tax management.

This aligns with SET's strategic plan and vision as it enters its 50 th year. SET has developed content and tools that emphasize an appropriate self-management of finances, hoping that this campaign will serve as a crucial learning resource for freelancers and multi-jobbers to help them build financial stability, accrue wealth, and brace for changes and uncertainties.

Suvita Charanwong, co-founder & CEO of Tellscore, one of the partner organizations of the "Happy Money, Happy Jobbers" campaign, said that today's work style is more diversified, especially among younger generations who are more likely to pursue freelance careers, particularly as content creators.

Data shows that there are currently nine million content creators and influencers in Thailand, making it a trendy career and a significant source of income. However, they face income uncertainty and lack access to social benefits, financial management knowledge, saving discipline, and tax planning.

Tellscore is committed to collaborating in expanding the knowledge from the "Happy Money, Happy Jobbers" project to reach all target groups, contributing to a society with financial stability.

"Happy Money, Happy Jobbers" is a financial management campaign for freelancers and multi-jobbers, comprising two new SET e-Learning courses: "Financial Planning for Multi-Jobbers & Freelancers" and "Tax Planning for Multi-Jobbers & Freelancers."

The content is concise, easy to understand, and to the point. Participants can leverage their learning through the Wealth Studio "Life Hacks: The New Me for Financial Freedom," activity which provides hands-on practice with financial management tools, risk management, tax planning, and investment planning. Moreover, participants in Financial Mentor activity will obtain advice from financial planning experts.
