Oyatsu no Jikan, a dessert shop from a 2-Michelin-star chef in Tokyo, will debut its world first shop at Velaa Sindhorn Village in Bangkok tomorrow.
The shop with 96 square metres space offering over 40 seats will be opened under the collaboration between Kacha Brothers Co., Ltd, owned by Safari World’s heirs and chef Hiroyasu Kawate, 2-star Michelin chef from Tokyo.
Dej Kewkacha, the owner and chef of Kacha Brothers, said that the company will open "Oyatsu no Jikan", a Kakigori dessert shop, a 2-Michelin-star chef restaurant from Tokyo, tomorrow (April 23) on the ground floor of Velaa Sindhorn Village Project, Soi Lang Suan, Bangkok.
Oyatsu no Jikan in Thailand will be the first branch outside Japan.
“I have known Chef Kawate for more than 10 years. We both get along well and I decided to bring this brand to Thailand because it is in line with our business direction, that gears toward high spending customers, who prefer more exclusive or unique product and did not have any impact from economic situation,” Mr Dej said.
“Oyatsu no Jikan” is the second premium imported brand under Kacha Brothers portfolio.
“We will no longer open new 10-20 stores per year like previously because the lifestyles of customers have been changed. They need products those are unique to most people," he said.
Apart from import brand, the company will resume its “Sfree “ brand expansion next month after stopping expanding Sfree brand for 7 years and shifting its focus to Kyo Roll En brand. Sfree shop will be opened under a new concept at Siam Discovery next month.
Oyatsu no Jikan provides a variety of dessert with price range from 150 to 420 baht. Every dessert menu use of natural ingredients and fresh fruit with collaboration that co-create both chefs.
