The cabinet endorsed a draft bill of 2025 fiscal budget of an expenditure of 3.75 billion baht.

The bill with a deficit of 152.7 billion baht will begin on October 1, 2024.

The projected spending is 2.70 trillion baht for regular expenditure. The investment budget is spent at 908.22 billion baht, and 150.1 billion baht for loan repayment.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said the budget deficit of 865.7 billion baht would be offset by loans.

Four economic agencies projected Thailand’s gross domestic product for fiscal 2025 could be at 19.57 trillion baht.

The framework of 2025 fiscal budget is revised to 3.75 trillion baht of expenditure from the previous 3.6 trillion baht, and 2.88 trillion baht of revenue collection while the public debt to GDP is at 66.93%, up from 65% in 2024.

The budget would be allocated to the central emergency fund of 805.74 billion baht and
ministries and agencies as follows:

Finance Ministry: 390.31 billion baht

Education Ministry: 340.58 billion baht

Interior Ministry: 294.86 billion baht

Defence Ministry: 200.92 billion baht

Transport Ministry: 193.61 billion baht

Public Health Ministry: 172.28 billion baht

Government agencies under PM’s Office: 135.74 billion baht

Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Ministry: 132.29 billion baht

Agriculture Ministry: 123.15 billion baht

Labour Ministry: 67.77 billion baht

PM’s Office: 36.12 billion baht

Natural Resources and Environment Ministry: 35.28 billion baht

Justice Ministry: 29.07 billion baht

Social Development and Human Security Ministry: 26.83 billion baht

Digital Economy and Society: 9.88 billion baht

Foreign Ministry: 9.01 billion baht

Commerce Ministry: 7.34 billion baht

Tourism and Sports Ministry: 6.44 billion baht

Energy Ministry: 2.89 billion baht

Culture Ministry: 8.84 billion baht

Industry Ministry: 5.58 billion baht

Revolving funds: 274.29 billion baht

Local administrations: 195.63 billion baht

State enterprises: 145.70 billion baht

Independent organisations and Office of Attorney-General: 25.51 billion baht

Agencies under Courts of Justice: 26.41 billion baht

Provinces and clusters of provinces: 24.04 billion baht

Thai Red Cross Society: 9.17 billion baht

Agencies serving the King: 8.47 billion baht

Parliamentary agencies: 8.16 billion baht

Other government agencies: 631 million baht.
