POP MART, a Chinese art toy company, sets to open three more stores in Bangkok this year including at Fashion Island, which will be opened tomorrow with exclusive items of Kubo.

Jeremy Lee, Southeast Asia Go To Market director of POP MART, said during his visit to Bangkok that the company prepares to open 3 more POP MART branches this year at Mega Bangna-Siam Center and Fashion Island. Each will require a space of​ approximately 65-100 square meters.

POP MART at Fashion Island location is the fourth branch in Thailand after CentralWorld, Terminal 21 Asoke and Central Latphrao, excluding pop up store at Siam Center.

“Business of POP MART in Thailand went well and we will move forward and continuously expand into new locations,” he said, adding Thai people respond very well to POP MART’s toy because they are very creatives and love art.

Kubo

Currently , there are more than 20 POP MART stores in six countries in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand. For its business in Indonesia and Vietnam, they are under B2B model.

Siriporn Plangchantuk, country general manager of POP MART (Thailand ) Co.,said that the company invested more than 10 million baht to open POP MART at Fashion Island on April 12.

POP MART at Fashion Island has an area of ​​65 square meters. There are more than 100 products and all are 100% imported from China. Prices range is between 380 baht till 36,900 baht. This latest store was designed to fit with Fashion Island’s customer profile, which is a family group. In addition, there is also a transparence LED display installed at this store so that everyone can clearly see the story of POP MART in each collection.

In addition, it will be the first release of accessories for KUBO, the newest character including mobile phone cases, bags, notebooks, etc. There is also a collection of POP MART rare items which are only available at the Fashion Island branch such as The Monsters – Best of Luck Vinyl Plush Doll Labuboo that comes with good luck symbol and Molly Sauce killer movable doll and others There is also a Molly × Feng Ru Figurine Set and a Molly × Snoopy Figurine in the theme of Snoopy.

“We expect sales of POP MART Fashion Island branch to reach 25-30 million baht on the first day of opening tomorrow (April 12), the same experience as the first-day launch of each existing store,” a sale person at POP MART Fashion Island branch said.

POP MART has spending per bill between 1,000-4,000 baht for general customers and between 10,000 and 100,000 Baht per bill for collectors.

POP MART expanded its business into Thailand in September last year via a joint venture with Minor International Plc under the Minor Lifestyle business group.
