The first Bangkok’s Go Wholesale store under Central empire has now already opened on the location that earlier housed by Tops Club, behind Central Plaza’s Rama 2.

Central Food Wholesales Co., the operator of GO Wholesale store, has spent 100 million baht to transform ‘’Tops Club’’ store into ‘’GO Wholesale’’store, spanning of 15,000 square metres.

Go Wholesale Rama 2, the fifth wholesale branch under Central Retail (CRC), provides over 20,000 items sourced from domestically and globally to customers bases on membership system.

This new wholesale store has separated into three zone. Here, customers can pay via cash, QR code and all credit cards.

Suchada Ithijarukul, group chief executive officer of Central Food Wholesales Co., said that the company will open another 7 Go Wholesale stores in the rest of 11 months of this year because whether the economy is good or not, food is still necessary items for people. Under its expansion plan, the number of Go Wholesale will increase to 12 by the end of this year.

Of the total 7 new stores, 3 locations will be in Bangkok and the remaining 4 will be in up-country including at Future Park Rangsit complex. All expansion requires total investment of three billion baht.

‘’We will open more stores and boost the number of Go Wholesale to reach 20 branches and reach the break event point. Thailand’s food industry valued about 2.6 trillion baht. It is big enough for Go Wholesale to jump into the bandwagon. We have already opened four Go Wholesale stores in the past few months. Performance of all four Go Wholesale stores are better than earlier expectation," Mrs Suchada said.

She added with over 20 years of experience in retail business, the company knew all problems in this wholesale business and deeply understand what customers want. Therefore, with its approaching, Go Wholesale will be a new channel for all without any monopolize the market.

Central Food Wholesales was established last year with registered capital of 1.8 billion baht to operate Go Wholesale store. It sells extensive ranges of products via a membership-based, aiming at hotels, restaurants, catering services (HoReCa), small and big food retailers, culinary enthusiasts, till end-users. Currently, the company has 200,000 memberships.
