OR launches the second Café Amazon in Chiba, Japan.

Café Amazon opened its second branch in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture of Japan, catering well-curated experiences and taste of authentic Thai coffee brand to Japanese drinkers, together with products from the Thaidet Project.

Mr. Disathat Panyarachun, chief executive officer, PTT Oil and Retail Business Plc (OR), said OR launched the second branch of Café Amazon at Lala Terrace TOKYO-BAY, with the concept of serving Thai experiences and flavors in the embrace of vivid and nature-rich atmosphere to explore consumers through the good taste of Thai coffee.

There will also be a signature menu – Coconut Matcha Latte, which blends Thai coconut juice and Japanese matcha, and unique dishes that unleash a new experience of Thai fusion food and drinks where Japanese style meets west. Apart from Thai popular menus, there are special dishes that combine Japanese and Thai food culture to serve a perfect twist.

OR also collaborates with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) to present goods and products of local enterprises, known as Thai OTOP, from Thaidet Project at Café Amazon Lala Terrace Tokyo-Bay, which broadens opportunities to present selected products from different regions in Thailand to Japanese customers, sustainably driving grassroots businesses and promoting quality of life of communities.

Café Amazon was first introduced to Japan in 2018 at Kawauchi, Fukushima Prefecture, and gained positive feedback from Japanese locals very soon after. With an ambitious plan to reach the third branch in 2024, a commitment of OR is to export this Thai brand overseas, shaping success and acquiring acceptance on the global stage. It offers an alternative for Japanese people and expats to experience the rich taste of fresh Thai coffee beans at Café Amazon, which are meticulously picked and paid attention to at every step, from cultivation to consumption.
