EECO has signed the MoU with Bit Cup World Tech to develop digital technology in the area.

Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bit Cup World Tech to develop digital economy and digital transformation in the area.

Chula Sukmanop, secretary-general of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), said the agency signed the MoU with Bit Cub World Tech, a high potential and high expertise of digital transformation company, in a bid to promote a digital technology development as a significant base for a digital cluster following the EEC targeted industry.

The collaboration between the two covers three dimensions. The first is E-sport development which is popular globally, and the second is to enhance EEC’s smart cities and business center to become an area of e-sport education. The last is to promote EEC to become an international athletic e-sport venue, aimed at helping attract further investment on e-sport and create a better environment for future continuous activities.

Jirayut Srupsrisopa, founder and Group CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co, said digital transformation is a way of using technology for business change with more efficiency to compete against the rapidly-changing business environment.

“The private sector needs to improve its business competitiveness in line with the global trend and also create a better opportunity, especially in EEC considered as the flagship project of the government, developed as prime location for both domestic and foreign investors. Importantly, it will help strengthen Thai businesses to have more potential to compete in the global market and also attract investors to invest in EEC.”

Wichai Thngtang, co-founder of Bit Cub World Tech, said its corporate philosophy is to help develop Thai people to have more potential, better skills and upgrade their well-being, especially to use technology for change.
