S.C.L. Motor Part pcl, an automotive parts distributor is traded today under the ticker symbol “SCL”.
The company has a market capitalization at its initial public offering (IPO) of 385 million baht (approx. USD 10.66 million).
mai president Prapan Charoenprawatt said SCL will be listed and start trading on mai in the Industrials industry group.
SCL distributes automotive parts under brands of many automobile manufacturers including Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Honda, Fuso, Ford, Nissan and Chevrolet as well as standard replacement parts made by recognized producers such as Aisin, Kayaba, Exedy, Denso and Tokico.
The company distributes comprehensive kinds of automotive parts covering more than 167,000 items. It has more than 1,600 customers.
The company also distributes auto parts through online platforms including Lazada, Shopee, Big Thailand and Egg Mall. In the first six months of 2023, 88 % of the company’s total revenue derived from the sales of auto parts of automobile manufacturers and 12 % came from the sales of replacement automotive parts.
After the IPO, SCL has a paid-up capital of 125 million baht, consisting of 180 million existing common shares and 70 million newly issued shares, with a par value of 0.50 baht each. The company offered 52.5 million shares to persons at underwriters’ discretion, 10.5 million shares to it’s the company’s patrons and 7 million shares to its directors, executives and/or employees during October 25-27, 2023, at 1.54 baht each for a total of 107.80 million baht. The IPO price was equivalent to price-to-earnings ratio (P/E ratio) of 13.45 times.
The earning per share is equal to 0.11 baht, which was calculated from the company’s net profit of 28.62 million baht in the past 12 months (from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023), divided by fully diluted shares. Finansia Syrus Securities pcl is the financial advisor and lead underwriter.
SCL president Sakol Tangkoskul said the company has been an authorized distributor of Isuzu auto parts since 1969. For 58 years, the company has been determined to supply standard genuine and replacement automotive parts in a fast and friendly manner.
SCL’s major shareholder after the IPO is the Tangkoskul family (72.00 percent). The company’s dividend policy is to pay at least 40 percent of net profit after tax and legal reserves.
