'CRC' launch “GO Wholesale”

Central Retail Corporation Plc (CRC) leads the new phenomenon for Thailand’s food industry with the launch of first “GO Wholesale” store in the fourth quarter of this year.

Central Food Wholesales Limited, was set up with registered capital of 1.8 billion baht to operate Go Wholesale stores.

Suchada Ithijarukul, group chief executive officer at Central Food Wholesales Limited, said that the company plans to spend nearly 20 billion baht to open 43 of Go Wholesale stores over the next five years.

It will open the first Go Wholesale branch on October 27 on Srinakarin road nearby Thaiwatsadu, home improvement and construction material store.

Three more stores will be opened in Chiangmai, Pattaya and in Chon Buri in the rest two months of this year.

The company aims revenue of GO Wholesale to reach 500 million baht this year and increase to 60-70 billion baht in 2028 when its total stores to reach 43 branches.

Mrs Suchada said Thailand’s food industry is worth of 2.6 trillion baht with an average growth of 5% per year.

GO Wholesale is a wholesale business and targets business operators, hotel restaurant, catering (HoReCa) and small retailers. Currently, she said Thailand’s food industry is valued at 2.6 trillion baht, with 5% growth annually.
