GPSC teams up with RE-FTI to launch the project “Kon Mee Fai”, installing 500 kW solar panel to help NPOs and government agencies turn their electricity costs into sustainable environmental conservation

GPSC joined hands the Renewable Energy Industry Club, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), promoting clean energy under the 5-year project “Kon Mee Fai”, supplying 500 kilowatts for the non-profit organizations and the government agencies while opening access to clean energy technologies, with an aim to reduce electricity costs, increase social contributions, and take care of environment in a sustainable manner.

Mrs. Rosaya Teinwan, executive vice president - Business Development of Global Power Synergy Plc(GPSC), the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealed that GPSC has collaborated with the Renewable Energy Industry Club, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), in order to promote the clean energy under the project named “Kon Mee Fai”, which is designated especially for any agencies determined to turn their electricity costs into development projects for surrounding areas in a sustainable manner.

The project focuses mainly on the supply of clean energy produced from the on-grid solar system just for the benefits of government agencies and non-profit organizations that operate on education, public health, natural resources, and the environment. The duration of the project is 5 years, from 2023-2027, with a total installed capacity of 500 kilowatts, which is predicted to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 6,900 tons of carbon dioxide equivalents. The project, with a total estimated budget of over 20 million baht, will start this year with the first installation of 100 kilowatts.

The collaboration of this project shall lead to the development of clean energy at the community level and among the government agencies. The budget derived from the reduced electricity costs after installing the system shall be used for the development of communities surrounding the participating agencies.
