UnionPay joins forces with Shopee to offer e-commerce service

UnionPay, a leading world-class payment service provider, makes its move in the Thai market with a collaboration with Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

This partnership provides a new service for both shoppers and food lovers, with great value-for-money experience and attractive deals and offers on Shopee and ShopeeFood. To welcome the e-commerce season in the second half of 2023, this partnership will kick off in celebration of the grand mid-year shopping event, “Shopee 6.6 Greatest Brand Celebration”.

We also develop services that fit the lifestyles of our customers around the globe, for example, UnionPay mobile payment services, UnionPay mobile QuickPass, and UnionPay QR Code payment, and more.”

Thailand is an important and strategic market for UnionPay. The company consistently offers comprehensive payment services for Thais, including e-wallets, debit and credit cards, international money transfers, and other digital payment services.

To enhance the payment experience, UnionPay marks an important move by joining forces with Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Thailand. This new service will fulfill the needs of cardholders on Shopee and ShopeeFood with greater convenience and value for money from special deals and exciting discounts. This partnership is in line with consumer’s behavior that heavily relies on e-commerce.

“Shopee 6.6 Greatest Brand Celebration” will be implemented between 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
