Informa, BOI, and partners strengthen their trade show leadership in the region with three major events: Intermach, Subcon Thailand, and Plastic & Rubber Thailand 2023, advancing the integrated manufacturing sector and supporting entrepreneurs to position Thailand as a modern machinery hub in the region.
The industrial sector in Thailand has embraced Industry 4.0 with advanced technologies and innovations, in line with the country's "Thailand 4.0" master plan.
This plan sets important milestones for the development of the manufacturing industry, utilizing green innovation and digital technology to connect with the global economy. To align with this strategy, Informa Markets, the Board of Investment (BOI), and the Thai Subcon Association have collaborated with government agencies, private sectors, network partners, and industry associations to organise three significant events: Intermach, Subcon Thailand, and Plastic & Rubber Thailand 2023.
These events aim to drive the integrated manufacturing industry in Thailand and position the country as a hub for technology and modern machinery for manufacturing and related industries in the ASEAN region. The primary goal is to support the development of Thailand's manufacturing industry and align with the country's strategic plans.
Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, secretary general to the Board of Investment (BOI), emphasized the crucial role of Thailand's subcontracting industry in the economy, which has gained recognition in the global market. BOI is dedicated to providing opportunities for Thai parts manufacturers and related industries. co-organised by Subcon Thailand 2023 is a vital step towards achieving this goal.
Mr. Narit said the Subcon Thailand event has been growing each year. This year, it brought together more than 500 leading manufacturers and buyers from 10 different countries, including Japan, Korea, China, India, Germany, Belgium, and Northern Ireland. The main attraction of the event is the business matching activities, with over 4,000 expected business matching pairs and business transactions worth over 10 billion baht.
Mr. Manu Leopairote chairman, Informa Markets – Thailand, expressed optimism about the Thai industrial sector in 2023, citing positive trends in both domestic and external demand factors, as well as encouraging investment promotion in targeted industries to embrace the new economy.
The bio circular and green (BCG) policy was also highlighted as an important mechanism for creating added value in social and environmental stewardship. With its role as the leading international industrial machinery and subcontracting exhibition in ASEAN, Intermach 2023 was identified as a significant contributor to the growth of the Thai economy.
The exhibition features more than 1,500 brands from 45 countries and 4 pavilions from China, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore, with leading manufacturers and distributors showcasing the latest technology in machining centers, machine tools, and sheet metal technology.
