Architect’23 Ready to Unveil under the Concept of “Time of Togetherness”, Demonstrating Innovative Products and Outstanding Showcases of Excellent Architecture Masterpieces
Architect’23, the 35th ASEAN’s Largest Building Technology Exposition, is now ready for welcoming all visitors, gathering with over 800 local and international exhibitors to present an array of innovative building materials, including many highlighte activities under a theme of “Time of Togetherness” during 25-30 April, 2023 at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
Architect’23 is a meaningful gathering from five professional architecture organizations for the first time. They are Puiphai Kunawat, chairman of Architect’23 from The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), Theeranuj Karnasuta Wongwaisayawan, co-organizing chairmen from Thailand Interior Designers’ Association (TIDA), Munggorn Chaijaroenmaitre, co-organizing chairmen from Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA), Asst. Prof. Komgrij Thanapet, co-organizing chairmen from Thai Urban Designers Association (TUDA), and Korakoth Kunalungkarn, co-organizing chairmen from Architect Council of Thailand (ACT).
Puiphai Kunawat, chairman of Architect’23 from The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), explained that the event is set up by a reason for updating a progress of architect industry and raising the public’s awareness on social responsibility, which is communicated through exhibitions and a various kind of activities. Importantly, it is the first time for having five professional architecture organizations worked together, which each will present its own highlight of performance. For ASA, “Human Library” will be highlighted, according to her, by inviting story-writers for sharing their experience and inspiration in a various aspect of their thoughts. They are Amata Luphaiboon, Boom Tharis, Jun Sekino, Pated- Yuthana Boonaom, and so on. She further added that “All Member: Design Showcase” is also a significant exhibition for displaying master pieces projects of architects and designers from ASA, TIDA, TALA and TUDA.
Theeranuj Karnasuta Wongwaisayawan, co-organizing chairmen from TIDA said that TIDA is proudly to present “TIDA Salone”, designer showcases which are collaborative projects from leading designers, BCG Hero Product and Sustainable Material suppliers, and contractors.
Moreover, it has paved a way for both students and professional architects with a contest of TIDA Thesis Awards and TIDA Awards, which many pieces of work are very outstanding. For TIDA Society, it is an open space of “TIDA Talk”, which many well-known architects are willing to share experience, point of views and pathway of interior design success to any who is interested in.
Munggorn Chaijaroenmaitre, co-organizing chairmen from Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA), has also invited visitors for joining “TALA CLASSROOM”, which is noteworthy event for professional architect showcases in Thailand and the ASEAN region to create better understanding toward the landscape architecture under friendly networking environment.
Asst. Prof. Komgrij Thanapet, co-organizing chairmen from Thai Urban Designers Association (TUDA), said that TUDA Area has divided into 5 zones which are “TUDA ZEB” for showing student’s designing masterpieces from many universities and institutes. “TUDA x Muang” for showcasing the urban development works that TUDA is a co-host, for example, Pattaya City Competition. “TUDA X Mhu” or TUDA and Friends for showcasing the outstanding works of urban design and development from other companies, “TUDA Khak” for showcasing the urban development works by TUDA’s members and “TUDA Muan”, the recreational zone.
Korakoth Kunalungkarn, co-organizing chairmen from Architect Council of Thailand (ACT), said that the council has prepared the ASA ACT Forum’23 for affirming collaboration from four architectural fields, namely architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design and decorative arts. Both local and international speakers are invited for joining the stage in April 25-30, 2023.
Supaman Munka, general manager of TTF International Co., Ltd, the organizer of Architect’23, added that the Architect’23 is organized in a huge space with 75,000 square metre, packed with innovative products, designing services in building and construction business from over 800 domestic and international exhibitors. Importantly, he said that the event has received very positive feedbacks from foreign partners, which made a request to exhibit the products seven times higher than last year, or 21.33%.
They are from Australia, China, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and USA. Regarding Thailand, it has been ready to unveil innovative products from many leading brands such as SCG, TOA, VG, MAKITA, JORAKAY, TOSTEM, GREENLAM, DOS, ADVANCED MATERIAL and many more. - Thematic Pavilion: A collaborative design project between young architects and suppliers to create a spectacular installation that best respond to visitor experience and for those searching for inspiration. There are four booths, which are 1. VG and TOA working with designers from Hypothesis 2. WOODDEN working with PAVA architects 3. EMPOWER STEEL working with ACa Architects and 4. THAIKOON STEEL and THAI PREMIUM PIPE working with Context Studio.
- BIMobject Live Thailand 2023: Seminar session to update a trend of digital construction, paving a way to Net Zero greenhouse gas emission with advanced technology from BIM and AI. A story of “Sindhorn Village” will be a showcase of mixed use community with advanced architectural design under economic, social and environmental concept. It will be told by A49, Thai Obayashi and Siam Sindhorn on Friday 28 April, 2023 at 13.00-17.15 pm at INNO-CORNER stage.
- Many Activities from Exhibitors: Sharing idea with famous designers in Architects Talk by, SCG and exclusive talk by JORAKAY, DOS, WILSONART, etc.
It has expected to have more over 300,000 visitors, generating the economic circulation over 22 billion baht in the building material market, according to Mr. Supaman.
