Chevron is awarded a production sharing contract (PSC) for ‘G2/65’
Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Limited (COTL), is pleased by today’s announcement by the Energy Ministry's Department of Mineral Fuels (DMF) that the Company is selected to be the successful bidder of the G2/65 block under a Production Sharing Contract (PSC).
Last year, Thailand's Minister of Energy made an announcement inviting interested companies to apply for the right to be a Production Sharing Contractor for petroleum exploration and production blocks in the Gulf of Thailand (24th bidding round), which COTL submitted a bid for Block G2/65 in the Gulf of Thailand. Following the winner announcement, a signing ceremony for a Production Sharing Contract will be held between Minister of Energy and a successful bidder.
