The tourism sector and Thailand’s economic revival supported the EEC’s economy stable growth in September.
EEC economy in September 2022 is growing steadily because contributions of tourism, private investment and consumption.

EEC is comprising of Chon Buri, Rayong and Chachoengsao.
The economy in EEC in September is growing steadily. The indicators of consumption and investment expand continually compared to the previous month.
These growths are the results of the export increase in the electronic, automotive and electrical appliance sectors, especially from the growth in rambutan products.
Moreover, inflation is expected to pass its peak, hence the entrepreneurs are confident to expand their investment,
The supply indicators in the EEC tourism sector were outperformed due to the open border policy and the domestic tourism supporting measures.
In September, Thailand welcomed 1.3 million foreign arrivals. Malaysia and India were the key visitors. Moreover, Southeast Asian tourists also had rapid growth, especially from Laos, Vietnam, and Singapore.
For the next period, Thailand and the EEC economy are anticipated to continuously recover but some threatening issues persist.
She said from late September, the “Google Mobility Index” slightly decreases, although the “EEC consumers and industries sentiment index” is increased.
The government continually implemented support schemes for tourism sector and other economic stimulus.
The headline inflation rate decreased as expected at 6.4% in September. Nevertheless, the minimum wage adjustment should be focused, exclusively on the service sector, this October. This adjustment might affect economic recovery and the fluctuation in baht.
