Mr. Apichai Chatchalermkit, deputy governor for tourism products and business, board member and president (acting) for Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd., said in order to attract more high-potential foreigners and long-term visitors, the company has laid out strategies to improve its services and build sustainable growth based ESG philosophy, with an aim to strengthen communities to pave the way for sustainable growth, in line with the Thai government’s bio-circular-green (BCG) economy.
The company recognizes the importance of creating opportunities and building a sustainable society. Therefore, it has initiated funds that come from a part of the profits generated by membership card sales to benefit organizations involved in local tourism and social development.

This will result in a stronger foundation for the growth of communities and society in the country, with the concept of “the network of inclusive growth and sustainable society”. It will partner with three main partners, namely:
• Hug Muang Nan Foundation: Ongoing activities are held under the Kla Dee Program over the past seven years to encourage suitable learning and development and instill knowledge about natural resources, environment and ecosystem in a way that is integrated with their local ways of life for sustainable development.
• Operation Smile Thailand: Mobile doctor units are sent on Weeklong Medical Missions. The non-profit organization has a mission to help the underprivileged with cleft lip, burn scars, and other facial deformities, with free treatment. In 2022, Operation Smile Thailand has a plan to treat 120 patients in Mae Sot Hospital in Tak province under the Weeklong Medical Missions.
• Dynamic School Thailand: with a mission and vision to improve education for small schools, reduce the education gap, and solve budget issues for schools, One School One Organic Farm project was initiated. This model is an innovation that will help with space management, education management, and business management, so that smaller schools can become stronger and more self-reliant.

There are other social and environmental projects such as TPC Community Care 2022 which focused on learning about the ways of life of palm farmers in Tham Rong Community,
Phetchaburi province and TPC Impact Day 2022 activity at Sai Noi community in Ayutthaya province

He said the company hopes to see a strong network of sharing, in order to spread the idea of sustainable development for stronger society and communities, which are the foundation of economic and tourism growth.

The statistics are in line with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) which ranked countries by their recovery of tourism. Thailand topped the list in terms of accommodation and second in terms of tourist confidence among 10 countries.

Currently, there are 20,200 Thailand privilege card members, most of them are high-potential foreigners seeking a long-term stay or investment in Thailand.
