Chester’s Grill restaurant chain in big expansion
Chester’s Food Co., Ltd, the operator of Chester’s Grill restaurant chain, has restarted its big investment this year, thanks to the better outlook of quick service restaurant and a return of normal life among people after Covid-19 pandemic.
Plus, the government’s decision to end the nationwide state of emergency declared on October 1st would encourage more people to spend their life as normal. The national economy is also spurred by the recovery of tourism industry. The more foreign tourists spend, the more locals have purchasing power.
Lalana Boonngamsri, the company’s managing director, said that the company intends to open 12 new Chester’s restaurants this year and 20 new openings next year, via its own investment and franchise system. Apparently, its new opening plan is quite more aggressive than previously which opened only 8-10 annually. The store opening requires a space of 100 squares with 30-40 seats.
‘’Our business starts to improve by the end of last year. In the first nine months of this year, our sales grew by 30% due to the restrictions were eased,’’ Ms Lalana said
The company has already opened 9 new Chester’s store in the first nine months of this year and three new stores will be opened in the last quarter of this year. In addition, it plans to open its Chester’s grab & go and new kiosk concept at Fashion Island this month. New menus will also be introduced in order to give an excitement to the market.
Today, the company joins hands with iberry group to launch new ice cream flavor to draw young customers. Its sales are expected to grow by 30% this year. In 2021, there was 188 Chester’s stores and the company expected its number would reach 200 this year.
