According to Phyathai-Paolo Hospital Group data, online sales of healthcare packages have grown by over 32% in the past three years, while the number of users and packages sold through digital channels have increased by over 45%. This reflects the increasing use of technology in healthcare planning and decision-making by consumers.
“The behavior of Thai people has changed significantly, shifting towards preventative healthcare rather than relying solely on hospital visits when ill, as in the past. The healthcare needs of each generation differ drastically," Supakorn Phawanna, Marketing Executive Director of Phyathai-Paolo Hospital Group, said.

He explains that Gen Z customers prioritize mental health and demand reliable information in the social media world. While Gen Y doesn't lack health knowledge, they rather lack the time to care for their own health, balancing children, parents, and work. Therefore, digital platforms will be a crucial tool for making healthcare a reality.
Gen X customers have high purchasing power, but they often discover NCDs (non-communicable diseases) during annual health checkups. This has led to a shift in demand from comprehensive checkups to personalized care that is accurate, assesses risks, monitors health, and plans long-term care precisely.
The Silver Age group doesn't just want doctors to treat illnesses; they want partners to help maintain a high quality of life after retirement. With the projected number of elderly people reaching one-third of the Thai population by 2033, this reflects a tremendous opportunity in the Thai healthcare market.
The collaboration with Shop.BeDee will help expand the number of new online customers, resulting in a 40% growth this year. Over the next five years, 50% of the company's revenue will come from preventative healthcare.
Enhancing customer experience through omnichannel
Watcharaporn Chareondhamavach, Design Experience and Affinity Relation Director and Creative Digital Strategy & Data-Driven Marketing Director of Phyathai Hospital Group and Paolo Hospital Group, said “Today, consumers compare hospital experiences not only with other hospitals but also with experiences received from digital platforms in their daily lives."
Convenience, speed, and continuity have become the new standards for the healthcare experience. Siwadol Matayakool, Managing Director, BeDee Powered by BDMS, said that the collaboration with Shop.BeDee will serve as a crucial 'gateway' connecting healthcare services from information searching and program selection to appointments, service reception, and health monitoring, creating a seamless experience.
The collaboration with Phyathai-Paolo Hospital Group is another important step in helping Thais take appropriate care of their health throughout their lives.
